Project: ECHO HIP Project – North Lebanon & Akkar
Important Notice: These positions are subject to the approval and award of the ECHO HIP Project. Recruitment is being conducted in anticipation of project implementation to ensure timely mobilization. Employment offers, contracts, start dates, and deployment are conditional upon the donor's approval of the project and confirmation of funding. Should the project not be approved or funding not be secured, AICA reserves the right not to proceed with appointments or to withdraw any conditional offer prior to contract signature.
This is a full-time fixed-term employment position for 12 months, working Monday to Saturday, with the expected contract commencing upon donor approval and project activation.
The Protection Case Worker will support vulnerable individuals and households facing protection risks across North Lebanon and Akkar through safe identification, confidential intake, vulnerability assessment, individualized case planning, protection case management, referrals, follow-up, and case closure. The role will contribute to the delivery of integrated protection services, including general protection case management, protection monitoring, protection-linked referrals, cash for protection (where applicable), community-based protection activities, awareness sessions, outreach, and facilitating safe and equitable access to humanitarian and specialized protection services.
The position requires a strong commitment to confidentiality, informed consent, protection principles, safeguarding, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Child Safeguarding, Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), data protection, and Do No Harm principles. The Protection Case Worker will work closely with GBV Case Workers, Protection & GBV Facilitators, service providers, and partner organizations to ensure timely, safe, and appropriate referrals while maintaining accurate, secure, and confidential case records using AICA's Odoo ERP/FCRM system and other approved humanitarian case management and referral platforms.
Candidates should hold a university degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Law, Public Health, Humanitarian Studies, or another relevant field, with demonstrated experience in humanitarian protection, case management, social work, or community-based protection programming. Strong knowledge of protection principles, referral pathways, service mapping, safeguarding, PSEA, Child Safeguarding, AAP, and working with vulnerable populations is required. Excellent communication, documentation, case management, and interpersonal skills are essential. Strong digital literacy is required, while prior experience using Odoo ERP or similar humanitarian case management and referral systems is highly desirable. Previous experience working on ECHO, EU, UN, or other international donor-funded humanitarian projects will be considered a strong asset.

The Protection & GBV Facilitator will support the implementation of community-based protection and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and risk mitigation activities across North Lebanon and Akkar. The role is responsible for facilitating structured awareness sessions, psychoeducational and life-skills activities, community outreach, focus group discussions, and engagement initiatives targeting women, girls, men, boys, caregivers, and other at-risk groups in accordance with the project work plan.
The Protection & GBV Facilitator will contribute to the identification of individuals with protection concerns and GBV risks, provide information on available services, promote safe and timely referrals to specialized case management and other humanitarian services, and support community-based protection mechanisms. The facilitator will work closely with Protection Case Workers, GBV Case Workers, community volunteers, and partner organizations to strengthen community engagement, improve access to services, and promote protection mainstreaming, inclusion, dignity, and accountability throughout project implementation.
The position requires strict adherence to humanitarian principles, confidentiality, safeguarding, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Child Safeguarding, Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), data protection, and Do No Harm principles. The Protection & GBV Facilitator shall not provide specialized case management or counselling but shall immediately refer individuals requiring specialized protection or GBV services through approved referral pathways.
The incumbent will prepare activity plans, participant registrations, attendance records, pre- and post-session evaluations, distribution records where applicable, and activity reports while maintaining accurate documentation using AICA's Odoo ERP and other approved monitoring and reporting systems. The position will also support community mapping, outreach campaigns, awareness events, and coordination with local stakeholders to strengthen community acceptance and participation.
Candidates should hold a university degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Public Health, Community Development, Humanitarian Studies, or another relevant discipline, with demonstrated experience in humanitarian protection, GBV prevention, community-based protection, awareness raising, facilitation, or psychosocial support activities. Strong knowledge of protection principles, GBV guiding principles, safeguarding, PSEA, Child Safeguarding, AAP, community engagement, and humanitarian referral pathways is required. Excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential, together with strong Arabic language proficiency and digital literacy. Experience using Odoo ERP or other humanitarian information management systems and previous experience on ECHO, EU, UN, or other international donor-funded humanitarian projects will be considered a strong asset.
